I’d prefer to seek out permanently closed roads in Montana for walk in spot and stalk hunts. I can’t find those on the MVUM’s as they only indicate open or seasonally closed

Is Georgia an option? Lots of WMA and National Forest land opportunities almost year round here.
On private land it’s year round 24 hrs a day. You can even hunt at night with FLIR with some outfitters.
How do you split the skull? I’m hoping for a euro mount (pending fall trip) and think this would be too damaging? I’ve googled and googled and can’t seem to find the splitting method defined or video.
