Anyone had a firearm shipped to US from UK?

I’ve had an itch for a “nice” O-U 20ga. I’ve looked at several, and keep coming back to the Citori. I have a $1500-$2500ish budget, but I’m much more of a deer Hunter than shotgunner, so the lower end of the budget is preferred. All that to say, I’ve been searching all of the online stores...

    Taxidermy “issue” how to handle?

I shot my first pronghorn last Fall. Took it to get mounted and my taxi sends a photo of the hide he just got on the form today. My initial impression was it looked good, but something was just a tic off. Now, I’m not one to tell someone how to do their job, but I also will be living with this...

    Washing meat

How do you guys go about cleaning the dirt and hair off of your game quarters? I’ve been, more and more, wanting to process my game myself, but it always ends up being an 8 hour process or more for a deer-sized animal. I always say that I’ve got to quit using water, but I do always end up using...

    15 Years Later...

Way back in college, sometime around 2005-2006, I promised myself that I would head to Wyoming to hunt antelope when I graduate. I can’t say where or why the desire arose, but that was when the thought was planted in my mind. Well, I met a girl, we married, money was tight, we started a life...

    Dry Ice and Coolers

I’ve never been around dry ice, but have seen guys recommend it for hauling game meat long distances. I was doing some reading on it just because I was ignorant as to exactly what “dry ice” is. So how likely is it that a well-sealed roto-molded cooler is to explode with the gas build-up? I’m...

    Carcass Etiquette

I have a tag for a unit with a fair amount of WIHA. What do the ranchers prefer we do with carcasses upon harvest? Drag them to a low spot? I looked through the regs and didn’t really find anything. If it were my property, I’d probably prefer they’re hauled to a ditch or something...

    Wyoming rabbit outlook this year

I finally drew my first pronghorn tag this year for a unit in the Cody region. The plan is to haul the camper and the whole family (wife and 3 kids all ages 5, 3, 2) up and spend some time exploring the West. I really want to get the two older boys out and hinting some rabbits (not necessarily...

    Wyoming smalls game- youth hunter

Anybody know if there is an age requirement for youth hunting small game in Wyoming? I see they have to be 12 to hunt big game, but wondering if a 5 year old can legally hunt rabbits in Wyoming next Fall.

    On the cheap?

I hate cheap clients, but I am one myself sometimes 🤣 I’ve never backpacked before, know nothing about it. Honestly never had the desire to backpack, except to possibly go on a backpack hunt. Now I’m looking in to do a backpack hunt this year (likely) for.....pronghorn. I know some of you guys...

    Favorite Pictures

I’ve got the Pronghorn bug pretty bad and have never even seen one in the wild yet. Hoping to get drawn in WY this year. I’d like to see some of your favorite pictures, dead or alive.

    Pants for the tall...

Hey guys, I’m so tired of buying pants that don’t fit. I’m 6’4” and about 170. Try as I may, I can’t put on any weight. I’ve searched high and low for some good hunting pants that would fit a guy like me, but nothing yet. I have the same problem with regular jeans, but if you pony up enough...

Hunting pants for a tall guy, but not a “big” guy

Hey guys, I’m so tired of buying pants that don’t fit. I’m 6’4” and about 170. Try as I may, I can’t put on any weight. I’ve searched high and low for some good hunting pants that would fit a guy like me, but nothing yet. I have the same problem with regular jeans, but if you pony up enough...

Pants for tall guys, but not “big and y’all”

Hey guys, I’m so tired of buying pants that don’t fit. I’m 6’4” and about 170. Try as I may, I can’t put on any weight. I’ve searched high and low for some good hunting pants that would fit a guy like me, but nothing yet. I have the same problem with regular jeans, but if you pony up enough...

    WY Leftover Doe Tags

Are they a thing of the past, or should it be fairly easy to get a couple, or does it depend on the unit? I tried researching the WY site but didn’t gather much. Is there a limited number of for tags you can buy as well? I’m planning on trying to draw one but also trying to wrap my head around...

    “Must-See” areas in Wyoming?

In a thread a few months ago, I mentioned the possibility on taking my young family to Wyoming for a vacation/antelope hunting trip. I’ve got one PP, but I think I’m now leaning towards just getting a couple of doe tags (mainly due to the horror stories I’ve read about the easy-to-draw units and...

    Resources

Just purchased my first WY preference point for pronghorn. Any recommended resources I should check out for a first-time wannabe pronghorn hunter? I’ve read so many threads here it’s mind-boggling. Also have a notes folder on my phone just for pronghorn stuff. I may check out the GoHunt site...

    Okie Pointed West

Hey guys, been popping in and reading quite a bit. When I was in college, I said I was going to head to WY to hunt pronghorn as soon as I was done....here I am over ten years, a wife, and three kids later. I’m finally in the stages of planning for this thing. “Someday” never comes on its own-...
