Winchester Super X 4 shot for turkey?

For me, the best patter in my Winchester were from the longbeard xr 3.5" #4 with a carlson longbeard choke. I tried several different combinations and that is what worked best for this particular configuration.

    Cell Service Outage

If we use Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mobile_network_operators_in_the_United_States Between the big three there are 506 about million lines. If we say that 100K are down. WI end tomorrow, not a Togie hunt.(public)

I thought I was at a rifle range on Saturday morning. I heard tons of gun fire from 6:30 am till a little after 9am. I don't think 5 min went by where I didn't hear a shot. It was crazy, and very few single shots. When I went back out in the afternoon I bumped 10 deer at 3pm within 20 yards...

    6.5 CM Question

Yes, I have and they shot well for me, but the Bergers shot better so that I where I have landed. I am using it this particular rifle on deer and antelope and for that applications within 600 yards just about any bullet meets the criteria. Many folks like the ELD-X and the Hammer bullets as...

    6.5 CM Question

The 135 elite hunter have worked great for me. I also use it as a long range target bullet. I hand load, but Berger does offer it in a factory loading. I have taken deer and antelope from 50 yards to 550 without any issues. I am shooting it at 2,735 fps out of a 24" barrel with a 1:7 twist.

WI ELK, the story of a once in a lifetime hunt

I have just gotten our engraved cartridge case back from @p_ham and he did an amazing job. I would highly recommend asking him if he would engrave your case if you have a special one that you want to keep. This is so much nicer than the sharpie written cases that I have stored in a box. Over...

Yes there is an equal amount of tags that are given to the tribes. There are approximately 11 tribes that participate in the hunt as well. These tribes represent individuals from northern MN, WI and the UP of MI. It is entirely up to them as to how they give out the tags and who will be the...

WI ELK, the story of a once in a lifetime hunt

We couldn't have done this without the support of my wife as well it was very important to all of us to take part in the hunt. I was really wishing it would have happened on a day where she was with us. The tags are only available to WI residents only, and I have been putting in for all three...

WI ELK, the story of a once in a lifetime hunt

For those interested the 7mm-08 did it's job with those 140gr Accubonds leaving the muzzle at 2,880. One shot was a pass through and the other was found on the opposite side and it performed just like you would expect the bullet to do. Final bullet weight was 98gr. When we pealed the hide...
