OTC hunt
Take somebody with you if you're going to pack in more than a mile. It's an awful lot of meat to carry out yourself and depending on the temps it may go bad before you get it all out. Or, consider renting llamas. Antero Llama in Salida, CO rents them for $60/day and they will carry up to 80... -

Just Joined, I got an Ibex Permit for the Florida Mountains, and I am super nervous
You get some sense of what's in store from brymore's pic. You can drive around the Floridas, but you see how much elevation you gain in hardly any distance. In places you go from the plains at 4800 to the peak at 6400 in as little as 1/2 mile. -

Is outdoor hunting tv dead?
I watch two hunting shows - Randy's on YouTube and Eastmans' Hunting TV on cable. I've tried a lot more, but nothing I care for. Lots of the shows have about 2 minutes of worthwhile footage and the other 20 minutes is just filler that ought to be on the cutting room floor. I don't care to...- dhoshour

Yeah, that nonresident nanny tag price is completely ridiculous. But if you think that's bad, a bighorn ewe hunt is $3173 for nonresidents. Sleeping bags
Down bag protected in a dry bag, then with a a tent floor, good sleeping pad and good tent site. Highly recommend a Spiral Down Hugger in the highest down fill power you can afford and a temp rating on the bag at least 20 degrees lower than the lowest temps you expect.- dhoshour

Packable non mummy bag
Here's the second most packable and comfortable down bag you can buy - expensive as heck but it stretches with you so you can stretch out your legs to the side and it will go with you. The hunting in 74 for ML is best around timberline, which is 11,500 ft. If you're from the East, that elevation is a serious matter, especially if you plan on hunting solo. Be sure to take a water filter and drink as much water as you can on your way and when you get there, because it is dry... -

Wyoming antelope unit 19 ??
I've found game wardens may not return calls to out of state numbers, especially in Colorado. Depends on the warden, though because others I've called have been great. A better bet is to call the local BLM office and ask who covers the area you have in mind. I've even had a BLM office make me... -
