I am glad to hear you had a good experience with Tok Air, we did end up booking with him for this fall and our group is super excited.
We don’t have our dates yet but should know soon when he would like us there. Have 95% of our all gear and just have everything dialed.
Any advise you would...
Thank you for the reply. I need to confirm on wearing a side arm on the flight but I think he said it counted towards our 50 lbs. Thanks for setting me straight on the ptarmigan too, makes sense.
What time of year was your hunt?
Hello, everyone, I previously posted that we were looking to book a caribou hunt and was lucky enough to book with Tok Air service, I am aware of the drama that went on in 2020 and not looking to hash that out, wanting chat with anybody who has hunted with them in the past few year to find out...
Hello all, my brother and I had a hunt booked with Hawk Mountain Air and he closed his business and is refunding us our deposit for a 2024 Caribou hunt. Looking for recommendations for a transport service that is not one of the major ones that pops up on a google search. We have a few leads but...

I helped a friend harvest a nice bull there a couple years ago during Muzzy season. If nobody else gives you advice I’ll share what we saw and that could help. Shoot me a PM if you want.
I am a lefty and have a scout rifle. I would caution you that it is very heavy for its size and the accuracy is so so. have you looked at any Tikka 308 rifles? Just my 2 cents…
My cousin and I are fit and in shape, mid-thirties and full of piss and vinegar, we hunted unit 66 last year and camped above 11,500 feet last year during first rifle. Perhaps we are naive but deep and high is what we enjoy. However deep and high with no elk sucks lol. We were banking on WY...
It is interesting that there are 110 1st rifle tags that people are willing to spend points on to get but there is an abundance of later season tags available that nobody wants.
I am guessing that the assumption that the elk dive into blow down timber and wait out the hunting seasons is why...
