    2019 AK Caribou Hunt

Great story. What is that last pic of? Your storage unit? Also, if this isn’t too forward, do you know where I could find prices for a fly in hunt like that? Probably not going to happen in the near future but be nice to plan a bit on the back burner.

DIY Texas Coast - Kayak Fishing Trip Interest?

I wouldn’t be able to make it. But later in the winter doldrums might be appealing. Was planning on making a trip down there in Jan or feb to take a break from the CO winter

    Backcountry deodorant

Baking powder. Just regular powder in a ziplock bag. You can take exactly as much as you want. It isn’t perfect but it isn’t bad.

    Koke Fishing CO

Hmm interesting. Been mostly shore fishing, and the Kokanee seems to be the fish that you most need a boat for. I might have to try jigging with one of those marabou jigs in my canoe. How does a summer Koke taste in comparison to a spawning Koke? Interesting thing about the scales... I guess...

    Koke Fishing CO

Ajax, I've been to 11 mile a bunch of times, but never tried fishing for kokes. I'm usually shorebound and in the winter, people recommend some sort of motorized jigging machine to attract the kokes, going as far as to say that it's the only way to fish for them on ice. BuzzH, Shoepeg corn is...

    Koke Fishing CO

Anybody a master kokanee angler here? I have never caught one and would love to learn how. Am willing to chip in for gas and beer, or drive a couple hours for some good kokanee fishing in CO. I will be working in Rocky Mountain National Park, so any place within a couple hours of there would be...

    Rookie Wingshooting

Interesting, Don. I wonder if my dog would take to it as well as your friends'. She might. I'll have to try.

That sounds good. Do those waterfowl impoundments already have blinds? What do you think about jump-shooting waterfowl?

    Rookie Wingshooting

I actually went to the range and did a little skeet shooting the other day. It was a blast. I definitely will spend more time with clays. Jump shooting them sounds good. Basically any body of water, then? I remember reading about people floating down a river in a canoe and jump shooting ducks.

    Rookie Wingshooting

Or basically any kind of waterfowl hunts in CO a rookie could reasonably approach with a minimum of gear (read: 12 ga, a pair of boots). The reason why I instinctively think about a guided waterfowl hunt is because I don't have decoys, my dog fetches sticks, not feathered critters, and it...

    Rookie Wingshooting

Hi guys, I'm an adult-onset hunter. Last year I went on my first elk, deer and antelope hunts. Spent a bunch of time with a .22 in the woods for snowshoe hates and pine squirrel. Right now I'm interested in extending this season, and looking into waterfowl. I'd like a good shot at limiting out...
