    GoHunt vs. OnX

I have both but prefer OnX. I did have an issue with OnX this last week where the area I was hunting only partly had a topo map. It forced me switch back and forth between OnX and Gohunt maps on the hunt which made me glad to have both.

    Inflation

Agreed. Not a chance vehicles are only up ~20% since 2000. I think they are up closer to 30% over the just last 5 years.

    Kuiu down

You'll be happy. It's incredibly warm given how light that jacket is.

Does it pay to fly for a hunt

I'm definitely more Team Drive. Done both when I use to live in the midwest. I think the luxury of having your own reliable vehicle to pound rough roads and being able to bring meat back in your cooler makes driving well worth the added time. Cost wise, depends what your time is worth.

    Custer bison

I was just looking at the drawn out stats the other night for 2021. You're not kidding the odds have worsened incredibly even over the last 3-4 years.

    NV 131-134 Mule Deer

If you're not burning many points I'd take the tag and run with it. Deer populations are way down though (like ~20% of what they were/should be) so it might be tough.

    Beretta A300 anyone?

If anyone is in the market, I have a brand new A300 Ultima in box (28" barrel, 12 gauge). Won it at an auction and now just taking up space in my gun closet. I would give a good deal. DM me if interested, I'm out chasing NV deer the next few days if I don't respond.

Google Bot Data Mined Super-Fund Site

It's been a few years since I've last been in the unlimiteds but the excitement is really starting to grow knowing I'll be back in just over a month. This hunt is always filled with a lot of uncertainly, what-ifs, hopes and dreams. The only given and still undefeated: the physical *ss kick!

    Season's Open

Good luck to your daughter! I got mine this AM. Not big but spotted 120 yards from truck camp this morning while making coffee. Quick hunt, now at home wishing I had milked it for more.

    What are you currently reading?

Recently finished these two: The first is a fascinating storying pitting a pair of railroad tycoons (Santa Fe and Denver-Rio Grande lines) as they find themselves in multiple head-to-head altercations to lay rail lines through contested areas (mostly in Colorado) as they work to connect the...

    Nevada or Arizona

If you're looking for opportunity AZ far outweighs NV for deer especially if you want to hunt Coues. NV easily over AZ for antelope. You very likely going to wait 30 years to draw a goat tag in AZ (no exaggeration).

    Arizona Unit 22

Four Peaks burned up in the Bush Fire this summer and now looks like the moon. I would focus elsewhere.

    Home Sweet Texas Draw

Will be a first time for me down there. I hear permethrin spray is a good way to go to fight the chiggers and ticks. I'll have to give you a hunt recap, snap a few pics of the board as the days progress. It's crazy just how long of a drive it is to get down there but excitement level is 12/10!

When is your Nilgai and whitetail hunt?. I drew both Teniente and Laguna Atascosa. Unfortunately they overlap but will be hunting Nov 19-24.

    Ford 3.5L EcoBoost

I have an '18 F-150 with the 2.7 eco boost. Chose with the 2.7 over the 3.5 knowing I was going to be driving all over the west for hunts and wanted the slightly better gas mileage. The 2.7 does everything I want but in hindsight I wish I would have gone with the 3.5 for a little more giddy up.
