Michigan lawmakers push for moose hunting on Isle Royale National Park

I'm usually all for more opportunity. I think the general public (lawmakers included) don't understand what an undertaking it would be to get a moose off that island. Its a remote island with no infrastructure, no roads, difficult boat access. My back is aching just thinking about it.

    Taxidermy and Storage

Moths can do a number on mounts as well. Occasionally dust them off and inspect for moth damage. Usually around antler burs, ears, and sometimes along the seam where a mount is sewn up. You will notice hair falling out and eggs that have the appearance of sawdust or corncob grit.

In Michigan I always recommend to my customers not to keep them in the garage or barn. We get humid summers and dry cold winters. The leather can shrink and swell with the climate changes and you may see some of the finish paint or epoxy work crack and flake. Usually around the eyes and nose.

Before and After whitetail euro mount

Very cool! Great way to display it. I like how the skull is sitting in relation to the board. How is it attached?

    Any Michigan grouse hunters.

In my experience 1 out of 40 isn't too bad. I'd hate to tell you how many I shot at before I knocked one down. We spend some time in the Pigeon usually the end of September. Depending on how the Wyoming draw pans out we probably won't go this fall. Lots of ground to cover in northern lower.
