I have used both 777 and Black horn 209 powders with SST bullets. You'll have to try different loads and bullets to see what your gun likes. The biggest thing is to do everything the same thing every time. CVAs are very good rifles.
I always take the breach plug out and hold a baggy under it to catch the powder and bullet. I push them out using my cleaning rod form the muzzle end. That way I don't waste any thing and no mess.

I have an Optima V2 and an older Optima. Love them both. I started with a Night then went to a T/C Encore. The Optimas are by far the best one I've owned.
