66-1 Bull tag for me! Can't wait to get in and hunt a unit that I grew up hunting deer and elk in. Gonna go get me some dewlap!
Congrats to those who drew, and good luck.
Currently, in some CH units, you have a better chance of drawing moose tag than a rifle Antelope tag.
By allowing People to put in for non OIL CH tags and OIL tags; your 3-7% draw odds for moose will drop to 1-3%, if not lower.
I am 100% against point systems, however, I would be ok with OIL...
i had the exact same rob with my meindls. other than that a great boot! UA boots are overrated IMO. hugely disappointed with the brow tines. they were very comfy though and fit my feet perfect, idk if they make an all leather pair, but if they do I would give them a chance..... maybe... kentrk...
great thread. 18 elk. bulls and cows. .270 model 70 pre 64 for every single one except for one. the closest elk kill was 10 yards with a .338! haha just to much gun and not needed. average is like everyone else's at 150. furthest ill shoot is 400 and have taken 2 elk at that range. 140g rems...
for doing sit hunts there are way better options for much cheaper prices. kenetrek make awesome hunting/hiking boots but you need some seriously insulated boots to keep those piggys warm on sit hunts.
how do you like that 6.5 bucksnducks? ive been eyeballing that. win .270 is a hard rifle to beat. I bougth my 10 year old son a stevens savage .243, started him with the smaller 80g loads and moved him up to the 100g. the nosler in 80 is plenty enough for any deer though! if holding gun...
this s my fav way! I never ever age my game meat. it doesn't make a big enough difference. meat is usually boned out for pack out anyway, or at least quartered and broke down for the coolers for drive home. I have noticed no difference between aging an not aging with wild game. pops always did...
