Range Update; turns out my .270 has a hinkering for 130gr Accubonds; and not the 150 Partitions. Thoughts on the 130gr accubonds for black bear?

HOWA questions here

I've been eyeballing a 338 win mag but was curious on the recoil. Some stocks/pads help mitigate recoil better than others. Anyone shot a Howa 338 win mag?

Scope recommendations for a sheep/goat rifle

I put a Vortex Razor HD LH on my 270. It's a pretty sweet set up and not quite as spendy as the VX-6. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks everyone. I'll likely stick with the 270 to keep the budget down on this hunt. Even though a 338 win mag would look pretty darn good in the gun safe. Anyone have experience with Howa 1500 in 338 win mag?
