experince vs gifts?
Horn length compares to ear length then look at prongs and mass, or mass then prongs. Ear base size or eyes are good to judge mass against. Twice the length of ears about a 12 inch buck, look for prongs above the ears and bases bigger than eyes. -

The pressure make the elk someone else's problem when they move. Moving the herd does nothing to reduce the numbers. Think about thousands of elk hitting your hay meadow, and tearing down the fences to get at it. Shoot at 'em and they just go next door or down the road until they get shot at... -

It will allow those with the access to shoot unlimited cow elk, could help some ranchers. Now instead of 3 elk tags we'll have lots, if only the elk cooperate. I'm hoping WG&F steps up with access yes payments to open up some ground. -

Another congrats to the SFASU Sylvans Club. Champs at the 65th Association of Southern Forestry Clubs Conclave in Florida. We took the tech events and NC put up a great fight in physicals to have an edge there but SFA took all the sawing events !! Way to go and Axe 'Em Jacks !!- wytex

No doubt some outfitters will make money on the tags but I'm betting some LOs are just fine with the elk moving on, if they are being honest. They need to get those herds moving during the season instead of parking on certain ranches and harvest would increase. Late season hunts should not... -

Hopefully that will benefit those that have access and help keep those dreaded LO transferable tags out of the conversation. We have access in 6 but rarely get the chance at more than say 2-3 elk before they head to safer pastures. Be interesting to see if more access is opened up via Access Yes... -
