Hey Trigger, you're hitting the mark for my current feels. I'm a young buck, 31 years of failures, and currently a low step lineman apprentice. End state, the job would pay 100k without any OT, but it comes with weeks on the road, ornery bosses, and just a general roughness to life. I'm no...
long story boring; the year was 2011, i was back in georgia after redeploying from iraq. we were outside tybee island, maybe two miles from shore, bottom fishing with uglystiks and cheap bait casters. i landed a big ol' red drum, pushing 25 lbs. completely smoked the drag, that reel was never...
randy is very correct; give the man a chance, he stood up to chaffetz and made more change than we all hoped one could. he's a better advocate than most, so let's afford him the opportunity to be the voice the public land user needs.
i appreciate the support, its going to be outfitted shortly after the new year. i spend a lot of time on the road, so hopefully i can throw a target into the truck and shoot whenever possible.
and bought a bow. not just any bow, but a bear wild bow. i found it on sale at the local shop, $150 for the bare bear. so, now begins the long journey of outfitting the pride and joy. it may not be the best bow, but i'm new to deer hunting, and even more new to archery, and this seems like...
I have the 2.7. I had a 5.0, before she was totaled. sigh. anyways, there is little to no difference in power b/t the two. i got 18-19 mpg with the 5.0, and 20-22 with the 2.7. if i could do it over, i'd get the 5.0 again.
congrats on the nice deer. but that guide can pound sand; it was, and is, public land. we all know the deal with public land by now, we all own a stake of it, however it is not, and will not, ever be sectioned out with a "reserved for guide x" spot. you gave the guy his space, a nice wide...
getting married at the end of the month, the wife-to-be wants to take a mini-moon before we take our actual honeymoon to italy in november. planning now on the first weekend in october, and looking for some suggestions where to go for a quiet, mountainous cabin in either wyoming or colorado...
Hey thanks guys, I'll be sure to hit up those who said to PM them soon, been busy playing National Guard. Looking forward to the hunt, thinking it'll be closer to second week of October when I head west. Appreciate the encouragement.
long story boring, i have 3.5 days of hunting in wyoming to get a lope or 3. i'll be driving from minnesota, i have OnX, i can do online scouting, but i'm a terrible hunter and fisher. i'm a decent shot(thanks army), willing to sit and be patient, but what advice would you give? looking near...
i get that ethics are ultimately a personal choice, based on what you feel is right for you, at the time. our ethics constantly evolve. what is ethical in oregon may not be ethical in pennsylvania, and that is perfectly ok. however, i just feel like someone, especially with mass publicity...
