They repaired a very old scope for me, I believe from the 60s. They offered me a new scope, but this was on a rifle inherited from my grandfather and I did not want a new one.
A helicopter costs about $1500/hr. Pretty affordable split between five people. A hour each direction is like $600/person. this assumes you can fit everybody and their gear in the same trip, which I have no idea if that’s the case.

I’ve had a similar experience. Except the shit I broke was my fault. One was a pair of ELs that banged from my chest to a Saddlehorn a little too hard, and the other was a scope that got rattled on the front of an ATV.
Both cost a little money to fix.
