Wondering if anyone else is having issues with extreme battery drain while tracking in OnX all of a sudden?
Switched to the Pixel 6 Pro awhile ago, went out mushroom hunting and it drained nearly 30% in two hours. This was with airplane mode and all the normal suggested settings.
Not sure if...
Have a buddy retiring from the Army this year and hoping to find a guide to take us on a Sandhill Crane hunt in Texas to celebrate.
Anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with any outfits down there?
Does anyone know if/where I can find regulations related to tree stands and ladders/climbing spikes on the different types of public land in Montana? Has anyone ever actually been cited or given a talking to for doing it wrong?
I've been dropping by offices of FWP, DNRC and USFS the last few...

Helping a friend sell her grandfather's hunting rifle. Had a gunsmith inspect and he says the barrel is in great shape, though there is some surface rust and the gun is definitely used, as can be seen in the pictures.
Cool lever action rifle that would be great for the timber.

Selling my first rifle hunting rifle, a great first gun for someone or just something light to carry into the field.
Definitely used, but in solid condition. Just had it professionally cleaned and serviced.
Lots of rounds included with the rifle, more than 100 rounds of non-lead. Adds up to...
Regular size, used maybe three times. Really well made oil finish tin cloth strap vest. Hate to let it go, but have another vest that just fits me a little better.

Those of you that know me, know I haven't had the best of luck the last few years.
On my way back from a spring bear hunt two years ago, a botched oil change blew the engine on my relatively new truck.
Last season, someone broke into my truck and took just about every piece of hunting and...
Headed up to Alaska for the first time with @theat in a couple weeks to do a float trip for Moose and Caribou.
I've been calling around to see what hotels might have some freezer space available for boxes of meat and am having trouble getting terribly clear answers.
Does anyone have any...

Now that I've been hunting a few years and don't feel like I have to spend all my time researching ways not to die, I'm ready to broaden my education.
I don't often chime in on public land issues here on HT. I simply assume I lack the context to contribute in a meaningful way. So, if you were...
Looking to pick up a smaller bag for day hunts that fits my Guide Light Frame. Really want something with the load sling.
I believe the cabinet/crew cab fit this description, as does the pintler/longbow. Though I could be wrong.
It ain't perfect, but it was a hell of a lot of fun doing my first euro mount on my own! I seem to be allergic to paying for taxidermy. Thanks to all here who gave me tips and tricks, not only for the skull but for helping get me on my first bull elk in the first place!
Oh, and it turns out...
