My 257 WBY has killed a bull elk, a bighorn ram, a couple of mule deer, antelope, hogs, and several truck loads of whitetails. I prefer my 300 WBY for elk, but the 257 works. -

Some of the very best blood trails I’ve ever seen have been from 257 WBY. One appeared to have been blood poured from a bucket on a chest shot. -

Where are you from? I’ve never heard of club rules so stringent. Some of the Mississippi River equity clubs will require a ten point to be a 150”+ or be 5 years old or older. But no one’s getting kicked out for not making it. Usually cost an additional buck on membership as penalty.- 3855WIN

Deer - lets see em
Kansas archery, private, DIY Set up at the back end of a small bean field that had about two acres that didn’t get cut. He came in solo at 4 pm. Had to watch him for a few minutes before a shot was presented. -

15 years ago, my wife and her cousins put the farm in NE Louisiana back in trees. We put a tag holder on this bear and he was able to connect after 38 hours on stand. I was saying that there was a small time frame from when the deer returned and private land became more difficult to access. Slugs and rifles used for deer likely made access that much harder to gain. I have gained access on multiple private properties by bow hunting only on those lands.- 3855WIN
