    30+ elk. Longest shot 150 yds. Rarely over 100 yards. 30-06. 165 Gr partition. Pre 64 featherweight mod 70. Fixed 4x scope. Mostly hunt timber.

    One. A pre 64 featherweight 30-06. Used, abused, decent shape. Grizzly to grouse. It's not the gun. It's the hunt. Mostly I watch the animals now. Not very trigger happy anymore.

    Yup, glacier bears are a blue phase of a black bear. Mostly around Yakutat area. I think natives can hunt them. One of my crewman was native from Yatutat and has see them a few times.

    What do you do for a living?

    Commercial fishing business for 40 years in Alaska. Longlining for halibut and black cod from Ketchikan to the the tip of the Aleutians with my wife and crew. Sold the boat, retained the licenses.

    Jeez That's what I mean. 20 hours in not that long in the big picture. You can cross about a third of the planet in less that a day. Or you can stay home. In an adventure, right. I have flown a jet there to, which I prefer.
