Scope Ring Honing

Factory Ammo for .270 Win. with 1:10 barrel Twist
Just my experience, but I've had good luck with Hornady factory ammo. 140 Gr Interlocks shoot well out of my Tikka .270 and I've shot a bunch of deer with the bullets and had great results.- Walkathon

Scope Ring Honing
I think you're fine. I lapped more than that off a set of rings and everything worked fine. The rifle sighted in with no problem, and it holds zero, really well. I used what appears to be the same kit with the honing bar, lapping paste and the two pointed shafts to check alignment in all planes. -
Ice Fishing Shelter for base camp
I have the same Eskimo insulated ice fishing hub, and I used it for elk hunting in WY one year. It worked well. I heated it with a propane buddy heater and left a vent open, the same way I do for ice camping. Hope it works out for you too.- Walkathon

Getting tougher on squatters on NF lands
My wife and our 2 dogs accidentally walked into a squatter camp once in NW Montana about 10 years ago. Can't remember if it was timber company property or NF etc.. It creeped me the hell out. No sign of the occupant(s) but it was obvious that they were living there with all the clothes...- Walkathon

My dog (GSP) is a house dog that hunts. I don't take her out if the temps are below 10 degrees. She also wears a vest if it's cold and I keep her dry when we get back to the truck.
