324 - Montana
Hey Guys I hunt the 324 range for elk a lot but I don't see a ton of deer, or good quality of bucks. I know this is a limited draw area, are there good bucks in this unit? I'm willing to climb to the top of each peak if necessary! Thanks much! -
DIY High Country Archery Mule Deer Hunts
Second for the Rubys my inlaws live at the base of them and I've been to the top of the dome. They are steep and sometimes water can be a challenge to find. But for the scenery and the quality of deer I think it'd be hard to beat an archery hunt in the Rubys! -

Crazies Goat Tag
Congrats on the tag, and to get you excited here's a goat that came from the crazies last year around the first of Oct. I was scoping out taxidermists and this one was just brought in. This one had awesome glands! Good luck can't wait to see pictures!- hk_willow

At a few moments in my hunt when I had my rifle slung across my back and was crawling / climbing up into places I shouldn't have been I said to myself, is a goat worth not seeing my kids again and I slowly backed off that cliff and found a different way. Great pics and can't wait to see more of...- hk_willow

Goat meat options
Goat jerky: was great, would hands down make a ton of that, very enjoyable great flavor and a very shareable treat for everyone. Goat steaks: Sliced thin enough you could get through them but were about a C- table fare rating, still had good flavor. Future testing: Goat brats, hopefully to be...- hk_willow

Mountain goat solo or guide?
I did mine solo last year with a friends scouting with me on most of my trips. I ended up getting my billy solo. I however wish I had friends with me when I shot the goat would have made it that more memorable. The area I was in however was a fairly easy hike. If it were a 10 mile pack in...- hk_willow

Elk .... Let's see them!!!
2013 2nd to last day of the season, one legal bull in 75+ elk, took over 4 hours after spotting the bedded herd to find this guy in the trees! -

I am going to do a full mount I decided to use Game Trails taxidermy out of Florance. They are super easy to work with and out of all the local guys I thought their work was great. it helped that they had 3 goat mounts in their showroom waiting for me to look.
