    Midway USA has a good sale going on Speer bullets, again. There is also a rebate available. I really like the 6.5, 140 Gold Dots. I never recovered one bullet out of five deer shot and they are plenty accurate.

    Sta Bal 6.5 powder

    Anybody but me playing with this powder yet? I am fairly pleased, so far. Better velocity from other powders, but it measures great and does not fill the case quite as tightly. It seems to be pretty accurate in my Creeds and .260s.

    I shot a very large white tail doe fawn yesterday. We put the two round roasts into an oven bag with the veggies and a packet of McCormick au jus gravy mix. I enhanced it a bit on the plate with ketchup and horseradish. Fantastic, tender meal!
