To Grip and Grin or not....lessons learned

And Dan O, I agree with you on Randy's show. I can't stand to watch some/most of the shows on "outdoor TV" anymore. Too much "production" and not enough "hunt" and I think they lack respect for the animal as well. Just interested in the kill.....

To Grip and Grin or not....lessons learned

I really like your picture. It is very tasteful, shows respect for the animal and portrays the seriousness of taking an animal's life for your benefit. Very nicely done and I applaud you for your creativity and the way you set this up!

    Ditch Parrots R' Us

Randy, sorry for your loss. I'm on my 6th lab right now and one died when my kids were little. My daughter asked me why they live such a short life...I just responded "they are such great animals that God wanted us to have more than one". I'm sure Merle was very happy with his life and lived...

    Remington 7400

I've had two...a Model Four in .308 Winchester and currently have a Model 7400 in .270 Winchester. I have had two shoulder surgeries and feel better for my long-term health with the reduced recoil of auto loaders. Both have functioned flawlessly for me and have been more than accurate enough...

    CO Question

Depends on where and when you are going. Are you bow hunting early season or rifle hunting later? If you are bow hunting you probably won't have to deal with snow but you most definitely will deal with mud. In October or later there is always a chance if snow and possibly lots of it, depending...

    Dying Breed

Is shot my first deer with a Marlin 336c in .30-30. A few years later I sold it. Is used to go to an open woods shooting range and hit the bottom of pop cans at 100 yards with open sights. Then I had to move on to "bigger and better" (even though I was in the Midwest at the time) and moved...
