    deer population

    Found several dead deer in SE Iowa, quite a few does and 2 nice bucks (5x5 and 6x6) this fall. Landowner feels deer herd is down significantly compared to what he has seen years past. Harvest allotment is probably another factor, but I haven't looked into long term harvest trends.

    I have had great results with the 180 Accubonds on big whitetails to moose. If the gun shoots them well, I would fully recommend. I do second the 165 TSX as a second option.

    Thanks for posting good will to them. I heard from a friend today that he had made it stateside. Has one week of inprocessing prior to hitting home though. Glad for those who are home and will never forget those who were injured or worse.
