The fishing continued in 2025. Had a really good walleye year. Several sizable fish in March were had. Still eating it once a week since. Two packs left going to be sad next week
Pretty quite year here. I need that after the grandson and I drew 6 tags this year and have been on overload.
Planning on a wilderness Colorado elk hunt at high elevation, I will apply for NM probably and hope for some love, and as always try to burn my MT goat and sheep points.
I had numerous people approach me while armed as a LEO and guess what not one of them died. Many of them with ill intentions or mentally unstable as well. I side with the NRA's statement. But we will not see an unbiased investigation into this shooting IMO if the FBI handles the investigation...
LiTime Bluetooth have two and love them..... Just to give you more information I troll for stripes quite a bit. I can run my 70lb motorguide XI 3 for 6-8 hours at .8-1.0 mph and may lose 5-10% charge at a constant troll. I have the 24v 50amp.
@Big Fin my grandsons first mulie and whitetail bucks both came from such isolated single sections of state and BLM properties this year. Keep up the good fight.
"A peak rut mule deer tag seemed like a slam dunk. I’d hunted there before. The storyline was to hunt the lower country BLM grounds...
Unless you're dead set on Colorado, I'd take take a look at a guided hunt in Eastern Wyoming more animals and better quality. IMO With no points outfitted is the way to go if you want to hunt next year.
But playing devils advocate here, based on @Gerald Martin post 10% of tags, total would be 19377 and that's only general tags I'm assuming in those numbers not including permits.
Bottom line is this, the MTFWP dishes out to many deer tags across the board and needs to go full draw for both...
I miss hunting those WV mountains. I need to get back up there. I beat around the mountains in VA (home) now. Nothing like a good mountain buck. Beautiful bucks and congrats to you both!
