Point restrictions flat out don’t work, at least not with muleys. They literally have the opposite effect of what people advocating for them want. Lol. I didn’t take what you said as being judgy. I do fully agree with you on this. At the same time, we can’t pretend that a hunter that has to have a tag every year and kill a buck of any size every year is somehow more noble than the hunter who only targets big bucks and doesn’t kill a buck every year. Antler restrictions are great for killing off all the good genetics in mule deer and allowing 3 points to do the breeding similar to how lengthy rut seasons kill off most every up and comer by allowing hunters to cherry pick the 2-3 year olds with any potential.- huntin24/7

I think Wyoming does a nice job of mixing opportunity and managing for some age class as well with their regional tags and LE permits. If there was any actual sense in the way non resident tags are allocated, the number that has been issued wouldn’t be nearly as big of an issue. I looked into pressure treated, and it wasn’t recommended for aluminum boats because of chemicals used to treat it can cause oxidation with the aluminum I guess.- huntin24/7
