We went and shot some upland birds today. It’s always good to get out hunting with my two sons. It was amazing watching the English Setters work today. Making memories!

Got my pronghorn opening morning. I found him Friday night. Went back Saturday morning and found him about 50 yards from where I found him on Friday. Had to wait for shooting time to get him killed. You have to love it when the critter has read the script.

I decided to slow cook a deer neck roast today. Cast iron Dutch oven on the stove top. Slow cooked with onion, garlic and some garlic infused olive oil (added a cup of water) Shredded the meat and put it back in the Dutch oven with the juice from cooking. Added tomatillo sauce that has onion...
Not a huge buck, but you get to hunt and make the best of it. We have a couple of ranches that we permission to hunt and we couldn’t find a buck. Found this guy on public land and killed him at noon today. This should make the bad pic thread. My oldest is up. One down, one to go.
My oldest son and I were fortunate to get buck speed goat tags this season. Fall on the prairie is more than the pronghorn that roam the plains. We are saw ducks on the pot holes, that have water after the rain we have been getting as of late.
Today we could hear the Sandhill Cranes migrating...
I have a 2004 Bowtech Patriot and it is time to upgrade(and then some). Let’s here your opinions. I know there is plenty of info on this subject, I need your experience with archery equipment to get me headed in the right direction.

Went to the cardiologist the other day. She told me the do’s and dont’s.
Do’s:
Heart healthy diet
Moderate exercise
And so on…..
Don’t do’s:
Don’t shoot high powered rifles
Don’t shoot a now over 45 lbs….
I think I need a new cardiologist!
