Competition is good for the end user. Unless LR fixes their poor interface with their app and makes things more user friendly on set up and use with their new model released that compares to a Garmin Xero they'll lose substantial market share, or I should say that they already have.

Had more math classes than a math teacher needs, that’s why people make fun of engineers - the people that use them engineers jokes evaluate by emotion, we use facts. 🤓
The only difference that the Garmin has versus the Labradar or Magnetospeed is in how they calculate their SD (Standard Deviation)
We had a LR, Garmin and magnetospeed on the same bench, same rifle recording at the same time. Shot and recorded 10 different rounds.
Repeated with 2 different...
FYI:
One thing you always have to be sure of is that there is 2 velocity settings for a rifle on the Garmin. I think one is 0-1700 fps and other one is something like 1700-5000 fps.
Had a guy at our club asked if I’d use my garmin to see what his 45-70 was for velocity. I asked him if he had...
Best thing about this is getting people off a bench to evaluate their capabilities. Way too many people at our rifle club can bang steel at precise set distances off a bench but take that bench away, mix up the distances and it’s a whole different situation.
I see no down side with these...
Always before.
If you’re using high quality alpha brass such as ADG, Pedersen, Lapua etc you may not have to anneal because they obviously have much better quality control and I’d feel more comfortable that it came quality annealed - which you pay for in the price of their product.
If...
I’ve done many many tests over the years on multiple calibers and literally thousands of rounds down range.
Results I came to have no scientific basis. My results were based on bullet holes in paper at various distances and longevity of brass.
1: All brass is not the same. Even different...
This is a guess and very dependent on ambient outside temp. With battery below zero temps I wouldn’t count on more than 2 nights usage with regular type 12V battery. Keep in mind that there is 6 temp settings from low to high and the fan speed is adjusted automatically so if you run it on low...
It’ll heat it but you need to be prepared that the diesel heaters will need a lot of battery to constantly run the fan. It chewed up a regular 12V battery so quick I switched to one of them expensive lithium batteries.
Looking forward to reading the compilation of the groups thoughts.
And furthermore, I want to thank this group for taking their personal time and money to get together. I’d buy everyone of them a beverage of their choice if I ever got the chance. Hopefully my Grandkids will get at least 1/2...
It also helps them tougher type casings if you put your smoker on the lowest setting for at least an hour, then turn it up gradually. It may take a little more time to reach internal temp to 165 but no big deal in long run.
Tried regular white rice and got same results. Switched to “hard” white rice from Costco and never looked back
You do have to check the flash holes as some will have some rice stuck in hole.
(I would also prefer rifle elk to be delayed at least a week until Nov 1 to protect bulls that are still hanging with cows at the tail of their rut.)
Agree with this in principal but not for State wide. Our elk camp is 17 miles from nearest gravel road and we’ve been snowed out the last 2...
