Coyotes
A neighbor/hunting buddy of mine was on his way to work yesterday morning on a rural dirt road and saw ONE HALF of a whitetail fawn in the road... Coyotes, no doubt...This is the "happy time" for the 'yotes...Lots of newborn fawns, turkey poults, and other young, easy to catch wildlife makes... -

Strutters in the snow...
I was out and about yesterday morning crow shooting on a couple of inches of new snow... The crows weren't co-operating real well, but the turkeys were active.. Gobblers kept sounding off to my crow call...I saw two different flocks, one with four birds strutting and the other with three...- Pygmy

I drew a moose tag
The New Brunswick nonresident moose lottery result became available today... After six years of trying, I drew a tag... I'm pretty excited... The ironic part is that the 3 day season is Sept. 23-25, and I have an elk hunt planned in Colorado ending Sept. 18.... I'll JUST have time to get home...- Pygmy

Thoughts on caribou tags
For Moosie, Dan S., T-Bone and all of the others considering an Alaska trip for caribou... If you are hunting an area where you have good chances to kill caribou AND if you are interested in getting a good head for the wall, it is a good idea to buy two tags, if the limit is two in the unit...- Pygmy

Colorado unit 76
I'm expecting to draw a muzzleloader elk tag in Co unit 76 this year, along with two partners.. Does anyone have any knowledge of this unit that they would be willing to share..??.... We would prefer to camp and hunt on our own and we don't have horses...
