South Africa had lots of rain!
For those of you who are coming out here this year, it should be as good as it gets, cause we had rain galore. Yesterday was a bowhunting competition of SA Bowhunters Association. We all got soaked, but nobody complained about getting wet. Lochi.- Lochi

Anybody hunting Easter weekend?
Besides some predator calling on Friday and Saturday evenings, I'll be staying at home like a good father and husband should. Baboons, warthog, impala!
Lucky me! I spent 2 weekends on a ranch that provides for bow only. Managed to get 3 baboons, 2 impala and a wart hog. Great hides. Drew my bow on waterbuck, bushbuck and wildebeest, but could not afford to release those arrows. Lochi null -

He got 3, me only 1. Not fair.
Went out calling for jackal on Saturday night, with all the usual paraphinalia (spelling?). Got only 1, with little sleep. My buddie was sitting on his butt at a water hole waiting for wart hog, and shot 3 jackal in broad daylight! That is not fair. http://home.mweb.co.za/ec/econhunt- Lochi

Sorry guys. Did't notice this low profiled thread, so jumped in at the fire side (didn't get thrown out though!) 53 year old South African with good health, supportive wife, 3 great kids. Done almost all the outdoor things over the years, but lately mostly lots of hunting and the odd spear...
