Non-hunting areas in California for elk calling and scouting practice?
I don't expect anyone to give up their hunting spots, so happy to keep this to just areas where hunting isn't allowed. I'd like to find some areas in northern california where there are good elk numbers to go out and practice my scouting and calling. Closer to SF would be more convenient, but...- zpearo

IL guy in CA hunting WY
Hi all, Have hunted since I was little. Mostly whitetail in Illinois. Now doing elk in Wyoming and getting into other western hunting too. And lots of time fishing and spearfishing as well.
