7-08 elk load - 140 lead free, 150 Scirocco, or 160 a-frame?
So I decided to buy a lighter recoiling and lighter weight rifle to hunt elk with this year. Found a nice model 70 in 7-08 on the used market, and put a 1.5 x 8 scope on it that has a BDC reticle.
