    Trip wires for bear

    We just got out of the Alaskan backcountry and had a Sureguard fence system around our tent. It was quite small and light. The charger ran off 2 AA batteries. 4 collapsing corner posts, 2 wires, and a lightweight ground rod. Not tested with bears on our trip but the fence was definitely popping.

    Fished the Columbia on Thursday and Friday near Astoria. We caught Chinook and Coho salmon. It's a great start to the harvest season!

    16 days until Alaska! I've never been this excited about anything! Cows are hanging around the lake we'll be dropped off at. 2 giant bulls have been spotted in the area recently too! And 3 days until Columbia River salmon fishing.
