    Trying to help a buddies son get setup for this season. Looking for a lighter weight tripod/head setup like a Slik 634. Prefer a panhead not a ball head. Tripod only is ok also.

    I personally do not consider those a quality choice. If you’re looking for lightweight style 1pc mounts I’d recommend Hawkins precision or leupold backcountry. For rings to use on a rail Hawkins precision, seekins, Nightforce and area 419 all make a lot of quality options.

    Use good quality rings and torque them and ring marks won’t be a problem. I find it funny people will spend lots of money on a rifle and scope but cry about spending a few more dollars on quality rings.

    As others have stated they are a great pant. I have a few pairs that are probably 10 years old and still use them every season. The hip vents are awesome. I did have a main zipper break but Kuiu fixed them.
