I work with the State of Wyoming and part of my job is to track the bills. As soon as I am home and I can do the research, I will pull up the proposed bills. They had been submitted but none have ever cleared committee.
I just recently regained my range of motion from shoulder injuries I sustained on the job. I used a cross bow and didn't care for it. I am back to my bow.
Wyoming has had bills proposed every year to do away with crossbow hunting sometimes with exemptions for predators. So far none have...
One think that will piss me off though and big time is when someone gets their pants bloody and comes in one of my tents and gets them dirty. I make everyone change clothes outside the tent when bloody and it don't matter if members of the opposite sex aqqre present or not.
I am posting this for a friend of mine. She does a lot of charitable work and has some neat artwork for all of us big game hunters. Please take a look at her page and tell her Doug Mewis sent you.

LOL I don't like to borrow squat or be dependent on anyone if I can avoid it. I prefer to get my own gear and that. I don't care if my gear gets bloody. I wash it out as much as I can but beyond that, I just don't care too much.
Ammonia tends to bleach the colors out of hunting clothes and I hunt with a lotta cammo. Cold water was as Hunting Wife says is the way to go. However, the blood in my huntin clothes have been there since my bachelor years in between my 1st and current marriage so I doubt they ever wash out...
I got blood stain from years in my favorite hunting clothes. I just wear it with pride and tell a story of my last hunt sometimes true sometimes not and sometimes in between. Mostly true though. I shot, quartered and gutted a lot of deer and antelope over the years.
Plastic holds heat. I don't recommend it very long. As soon as you get to camp to hang the game bags, remove the plastic bags. For short periods they would work, but not more than a few hours. If it's warm and the meat has not cooled completely, it could induce rot.
They are not seeing
They are not seeing bear sign in that area. just mountain lion. I talked to the ranchers in that area and they have not seen bear for a long time. Biologist when asked if he would invest in a bear license in that area if he were in my place, he said no. Signs around the...
Seasons for lion are still being reviewed. I talked to the biologist that handles lion area I will be in. He says density is very good and proposal is for unlimited licenses so I am investing in a license that I can get over the counter.
I am working on figuring density right now. As it stands so far plan is to set up upwind from a guy pile or scraps from my own kills and scope and watch for a couple hours or so. Gut piles were never in the spot we left them last year so something is eating them up and I am hoping cougar.
Anyone every hunt mountain lion in elk area 129 which would be an area 24 lion tag? Reason I am considering this, is only other good place I found to hunt cougars is in the area around Meeker, Colorado. I have read the last 15 papers for the Gillette area and noticed at least 2 sightings or...
You can sell domestic elk, deer, buffalo, etc. You can not sell wild game as defined in the statutes. However, it's expensive. I buy elk when I am out whenever I go to Denver to visit my mom. Pricey but I love my elk.
Wyoming tags are NOT transferable. One exception: you can donate your licenses to charitable groups handling veterans and/or mobility impaired or handicapped hunters. To do that, you have to donate your license before the season starts.
Intensity of burn is important. If a fire burns very hot, it cooks and destroys the fragile root systems and leaves a very sterile patch of soil that will take a while to recondition and sustain new growth. A fast moving fire that does not burn particularly hot will generally leave the root...
I think it depends on the new growth that is regenerated. If the trees are still thin and it's mostly grass and green growth, it should still be productive as long as other conditions such as water and sanctuary are there. No two areas are identical in this, so it really depends on the...
