    Colorado driver kills 47 antelope

It’s it pretty much a ubiquitously known fact that you never slam on your brakes on ice and that it’s better to hit an animal than avoid them. Definitely a disaster, but I think there are lots of scenarios where the driver did everything right aside from driving too fast for conditions.

    Episode 99

I can see it both ways, I pony up for out of state tags every year, but despite the increase in price every western state continues to see an increase in license sales and applications. In my mind that means prices haven’t increased enough. That being said I don’t think hunting should become an...

    Elk Hunting Tips, Colorado

Careful in 28, I was in the Williams Fork during muzzy and had a dude come racing into my cow call at first light gun pointed at my chest without a stitch of blaze orange on. That would not be my pick for an elk hunt.

    POW Gear list

That's what we did on Adak, when I got back to Denver everything was still frozen solid... and it was just in a dry bag not a cooler.

CO Elk! Any opinions or thoughts??

But then how do you learn anything lol My goal is to kill one good bull, so in that attempt I'm building points all over. I realize that just because you draw a good unit doesn't mean you will kill crap if you don't know how to find elk. Therefore I switch units every year so that I'm forced to...

    POW Gear list

In order to give myself some buffer on the back end of the trip, and to deal with sealing processing etc... I have us booked 2 days at the Rodeway Inn Edgewater. I called them and asked about freezer space, they said that they would allow guests to store meat in their freezer, but due to health...

CO Elk! Any opinions or thoughts??

Camping at trail heads is good if you don't scout and want to be able to switch areas, backpacking allows you to get more sleep and makes it easier to be in position during first lite and at dusk. Both strategies are effective but have their drawbacks. Use the search buttons and google for unit...

AR Type Rifles for Deer Hunting!

Personally I could care less about AR’s being semi-auto, I’ve just found them to be really heavy and expensive. Also they have more complicated mechanics, and I don’t want do deal with cleaning them. I don’t own a pistol for the same reason. Nothing wrong with them just not the tool I would...

    Wyoming - Wilderness area distinction

Lol yep, you nailed it, although I bet a higher proportion of WY residents hunt than CO residents so it’s probably more like 25k residents in WY v. 140k residents in CO bought elk licenses. No I didn’t look those up I’m throwing out wild guesses cause it’s the internet and I can.

AR Type Rifles for Deer Hunting!

I’ve never actually seen anybody with one in the field, I would imagine on private land they are probably more popular but as far as public land hunters in MT, WY, and CO I bet it’s less than 1% of hunters.

    Colorado App Question

Sorry for being terse, yes you have to buy a small game license or turkey, no fishing alone doesn’t count. Point for deer/elk are free MSG are $50 residents and $100 nonresidents.

    Savings accounts

Barclay, Capital One 360, Ally, etc are all FDIC insured up to 250k per person on the account, i.e. if you really just wanted to have all your money in an account you could open a joint account with your spouse and then list 2 kids as beneficiaries and it would be insured up to 1 million. I...

    Elk Hunting Tips, Colorado

Welcome to the forum, you aren't likely to get unit specific information on the open forum. Not sure what your over all hunting experience is but, that unit is close to a major metro area, only has few trail-heads, is primarily dark timber, and is at a high elevation, which can make for lots...
