Wow! Congrats, that is a great time, you were really shifting. What is the 1 rifle you regretted buying or wished you never had bought?

Anschutz .22 thumbhole, https://yorkguns.com/shop/anschutz-1417-deluxe-walnut-thumbhole-22lr-14-b-a-l-h/ a cracking little .22, so accurate, but, took it out on a damp evening shooting bunnies and the wood blistered, Anschutz reply, well they are not designed to be taken out in the rain! I got...

Park runs to get you hunt fit!

Thanks, so what name am I looking for in your park run? pm if you like. I am pretty well addicted to them like you, it doesn't surprise me they are popular in NZ, you do love your sports, and you're pretty good at rugby! I do trail runs with my club, once or twice a week, around 6 miles each...

Park runs to get you hunt fit!

Read it again, I said combined with hiking, what works for me, might not work for you, I know some substitute running with swimming, if you can only do one, its better than doing nothing, a quick way to get injured (especially knee's) is too heavy a pack walking down hill without hiking poles. I...

Park runs to get you hunt fit!

It looks like these have yet to take off in the US, there are a few, but not many, as an example, this was in Colorado on Saturday https://www.parkrun.us/southbouldercreek/results/latestresults/ only 56 runners Compared to the one I do on a fairly regular basis 454 runners, my position was 160th...

Possible wildlife issue that may turn into a marriage issue

Cats, feral or not, are killers of wildlife. We have had cats, 10 years ago after the last one I said to my wife 'no more cats', a few weeks later, without discussion she walked in with a kitten, that caused a little friction for a while, she won't do it again, as this time when a visit to the...

Got to love the tractor for deer extraction!

The season finishes on the red stags tomorrow, I had been seeing this little 'forky' running with a spiker for weeks, 2 weeks ago he had a lucky escape, I had no backstop, so the shot was unsafe, 2 more steps and he would have been in the same position as he is now, but his friend smelt me and...

20 years ago my little rough shoot

I was looking through our old photo's recently and found this collage, brought back some really happy memories. Sadly 3 of the guys have since passed away, one of which was my friend Derek, he is pictured bottom right with his spaniel, he was the glue that held everything together, but he passed...

For the fluff chuckers amongst you

Tie flies when you can. You're gonna run outta health before you run outta fly-tying materials, sorry I couldn't resist! I feel the same as you, but when I use up a material it goes on the list, and I buy it again, there is no hope for us! Cheers Richard

    Brake and/or Suppressors

Europe, if you read that post again that I made on the other thread I was referring to the suppressor, I made no mention of the brake in relation to target acquisition after the first shot. With a brake I agree target acquisition is easier than with a suppressor. Cheers Richard
