    Wife got it done!

Thanks everyone, gotta say I'm pretty lucky to have her and that she enjoys hunting as well as I do.

    Wife got it done!

I'm extremely proud of my wife. She started hunting with me when we were dating and I believe she is hooked. She has been gaining confidence in herself over the last year or so, and has been hunting some on her own. I had to work late today and the grandparents offered to watch the boys if...

Whats your take on the "GLYPHOSATE" Round Up Lawsuit in California

Dude, love the idea! I am fortunate to have apple, pear, peach trees, asparagus, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, a large garden for corn, beans, cabbage, broccoli, melons, squash variants, cucumbers tomatos. I also have raised beds for salad type greens, radishes, carrots, onions. I...

Whats your take on the "GLYPHOSATE" Round Up Lawsuit in California

Could not agree more with this statement. My grandparents all lived long healthy lives well into their 90s. My great-grandmother was 106. Her children all lived to be at least 92. Two of them crossed the century mark themselves. They ate lard like it was going out of style. But everything...

Bear hunting in the rain - Waste of time?

My dad killed his biggest Canadian bruin, about 400 lbs, in awful weather. Rainy, cold, windy and our friends said he was crazy to be hunting....until they saw his bear!

Whats your take on the "GLYPHOSATE" Round Up Lawsuit in California

From what I have read about the people that have developed cancers from supposedly using it were exposing themselves to it on repeated occasions with little or no personal protective equipment. I work with dangerous chemicals all the time, either for water treatment or in the lab, but I also...

    RIP Tim Conway

He and Don Knots were always one of my favorite comedic duos. I grew up believing in "wookalars" because of them :sneaky:

    What’s better than a Christensen?

I believe components are made in Canada but the barrels are made in US.

Is it always going to be like this?

Very nice! I met my wife and have been with her for going on 17 years now and it's been like that since the first fall. She couldn't wait to take her hunters safety course and get her first deer tag. Since then, she has harvested just about everything she has hunted. She'd be with me on my...

    Any GOT Viewers Here...

I wish the books would have been finished before the TV series myself. However, at George R.R. Martin's writing pace, that would be 30 years from now  I'm always a "book then movie" type of person, but I am a fan of the show. I thought the last episode a tad dark too, but I understand...

    I've got morels

Taking the day off tomorrow to Turkey hunt for an hour or two, then taking what I call "the long walk" through mostly untouched woods that usually produce a lot of mushrooms. I only do this walk on years I'm confident it will produce since it is tough going. Too tough for the average shroomer.

Need opinions for opening day tomorrow

I'd probably hit the big woods too as others have mentioned. Our season opened Monday. Narrowly missed out on a gobbler Monday morning. He wouldn't come to calls but would gobble. I circled around and got a head of him but I just didn't pick a good setup and he got past me in the brush...
