    What are you currently reloading?

Yes, they seat fine but are tight. I use a hand primer and it tires you out for sure.

    What are you currently reloading?

Just finished a very boring but effective hunting load. .308 win, 44.5 grains varget, 165 grain hornady interlock, Federal brass Ginex LR primer 2700 fps average (22” barrel) Can’t get it to shoot over an inch at 100, so I will keep using it I guess.

    Show me your reloading setups!

2nd kid on the way, had to move into the basement. The workmate build is all I could fit in here, but it does the job.

First time solo hunting/baiting black bears turned out successful, loved it. Funnest hunt to date.

    2025 spring bear thread

I’ve been using my ATV to get the bait in, was thinking about riding the ATV in to bait, riding it back out a few hundred yards, park it, and the. Sneak back in real quick to the stand. Maybe they are used to the noise coming and going by now. Trail cameras say so lol.

    2025 spring bear thread

First solo bait site set up this year, getting good action for the last two weeks, bears seem happy with it. Anyone have any tips for how long after refreshing bait can the site be hunted? I don’t see an issue hunting it less than 24 hours after refreshing it if they anre coming in...

    Primer issues.... or something else.

Good stuff! I will double check it. Watched a video, bolt looks quite easy to take apart.

    Primer issues.... or something else.

Savage 110 hunter (new model, accustock version). Less than 300 rounds through it. Never had this issue until this batch of handloads.

    Primer issues.... or something else.

I believe this as well, 95% of my brass stock is once fired, taken from factory ammo over the years. Explains why I haven't run into this issue before since it was all fire formed to length before bumping back the shoulders. Bumping the shoulders back on virgin brass was probably my wrong...

    Primer issues.... or something else.

I’m fairly positive primer seating was good, and these are stiff primer pockets. The one misfired round did go bang on the second strike when I tried it again.

    Primer issues.... or something else.

I’m leaning towards the shoulders, This was virgin brass FL sized. Virgin brass could be been short, then I shortened it even further during FL sizing.

No, i thought about powder and handling though, everything should have been good.

    Primer issues.... or something else.

Hi all, ran into a new issue along my reloading journey, wanted to see if anyone else out there has seen the same thing. Long story short, while working up a 180 grain load for my 30-06 I have now had 3/20 rounds fail to fire. I have yet to see this out of this brick of primers, I was 300/300...

    What scope advice / thoughts

The non CDS turret version of the freedoms are good looking scopes for the "classic" look. I agree.
