Thanks for posting that, guess I didn't realize they released that information so fast. Made me feel even luckier then I already did seeing those results
They don't even listen to the biologist most of the time if it doesn't make them money. They sure don't listen to hunters when we decide to give feedback it feel wasted.
So you should be able to come to montana and hunt deer for what? 200$ is what you're thinking? I'm not arguing that 750 is steep but residents are only paying 16$ right now and if you don't think 100$ is enough then gtfo
Is that a choice? Nobody is forcing you to hunt here buddy. But don't tell a resident that he isn't being generous enough offering to pay 100$ for a deer when we currently pay like 10$ . It's a privilege that you get to hunt in montana not a right..
Doesn't have much to do with wildlife, just meant residents pay our fair share in other places to be able to enjoy our resources. But I'm certainly not against paying more as a resident to a certain point of course. except the fact I know they won't spend my money properly just like the feds 🤣
Yea no shit. The guy said he would be willing to increase resident price to 100$ and the other guy laughed as if that wasn't generous enough... I was saying that would be more then generous enough if that's what it was raised to. Thanks for your input
I feel for you guys but it's also comical how many people on here complain about how expensive it is to hunt in montana and how the quality of hunting sucks... and they keep coming back!!! Isn't that the definition of insanity
While 1,300 is getting ridiculous for a general elk license, the elk are a montana resource and residents pay their fair share in property taxes and what not. With that
You are why they keep raising prices, you complain on here about paying 1500 and say you Will look elsewhere and then 2 posts...
Your reading comprehension could use some work cuz I do belive I said "however I agree that management could be better" all I'm saying is it's dumb to blame people that were given a tag by the state managing the unit and blaming it on one area of people. Didn't mean to offend your boyfriend sorry
Wyoming has way better season structure for bucks to survive, talking compared to montana. Idk about idaho. The unit i hunted in wyoming has 2 weeks for rifle, in montana in have 5 weeks and during peak rut....
I think it's absolutely ridiculous to start blaming residents from the other side of the state instead of the people managing the area. As far as poor hunting behavior goes, unfortunately that's everywhere in every state. But I do agree with needed better management via cutting back tags and...
