I’ve been using my ATV to get the bait in, was thinking about riding the ATV in to bait, riding it back out a few hundred yards, park it, and the. Sneak back in real quick to the stand. Maybe they are used to the noise coming and going by now. Trail cameras say so lol.
First solo bait site set up this year, getting good action for the last two weeks, bears seem happy with it. Anyone have any tips for how long after refreshing bait can the site be hunted? I don’t see an issue hunting it less than 24 hours after refreshing it if they anre coming in...
I believe this as well, 95% of my brass stock is once fired, taken from factory ammo over the years. Explains why I haven't run into this issue before since it was all fire formed to length before bumping back the shoulders. Bumping the shoulders back on virgin brass was probably my wrong...
I’m fairly positive primer seating was good, and these are stiff primer pockets. The one misfired round did go bang on the second strike when I tried it again.
I’m leaning towards the shoulders, This was virgin brass FL sized. Virgin brass could be been short, then I shortened it even further during FL sizing.
Hi all, ran into a new issue along my reloading journey, wanted to see if anyone else out there has seen the same thing.
Long story short, while working up a 180 grain load for my 30-06 I have now had 3/20 rounds fail to fire. I have yet to see this out of this brick of primers, I was 300/300...
Ended up with the Hornady OAL gauge, learned some interesting stuff. In my 30-06, the throat is not very generous at this time (low round count on this rifle). Some of my bullets on hand make it to SAAMI 3.340, some touch the rifle .020-.040 before this. Interesting stuff, now I know.
No experience with Partitions, they are 130.00/50 count where I live so reloading them is a no go. But Hot-cors are pretty dang good for standard cup and cor. I have never recovered one, always a pass through when shooting at ribs. Price was good when I bought them as well. .30/bullet vs...
I’m sure that Rinella was dropping bulls and loved it before he got famous as well. That’s why I just don’t get the hypocrisy. I’m not against either guy, I support both. It’s just funny that people hate on Rinella on a Newberg site.
I don’t disagree, that’s why I don’t hate on rinella, both guys are generating income off the hunting industry, and in doing so they can push their agendas for the good causes. Tough to be a strong source if you aren’t followed by the masses.
