    I’ve seen two on the same mountain range. One was a nice buck I never got a picture of. Two years later, see this doe. Picture is rough, mirage was kicking up and a ways off, but get the idea. All the other does kept running her off and kicking at her.

    Holy cow what a bear! Congrats! I've tried hunting them on calving grounds and had similar experiences, just never been able to win the foot race and get a shot. They don't go too far but they seem to be always moving compared to earlier in season.

    Great all around pack and good price for new. I don't think you'd find one new for less, but could save a bit more used. If you end up not liking it, could probably get most of your money back.

    Congrats! I did the archery hunt there back in 2019 and had a blast. Was definitely a “real” hunt and fairly sketchy with a bow 😂 finding yourself in the plains with a herd of bison stampeding around you is an experience!

    Worse case, start practicing left handed! My dad got pretty good after a full shoulder replacement shooting left handed, helps to have a good solid rest, maybe a rail/tripod situation. Shot distances shouldn't be too far there. Either way, good luck and let us know how it goes!

    Whichever is the most comfortable for you. Both are good companies with great CS, don’t think there is a wrong answer. I’ve used SG for about 10 years with no complaints.

    That’s why I said in places like AZ. In AZ/NV it makes a difference. Places like WY, MT, CO I’d tend to agree, the habitat can support them without a lot of human improvements.

    Those few tags build a lot of drinkers and do a lot for animal habitat (particularly sheep). In places like AZ where the environment is harsh, that can make a big difference in animals numbers, which translates to overall tag availability.

    I'd be much more worried about the trend towards catering to outfitters and large NR landowners. If the woods seem a little crowded, it's likely all those new MT residents/hunters getting out there. The NR cap hasn't changed since 1975 I believe.
