Congratulations on a great tag. I would contact the MT FWP Biologist Sonja Andersen she is a very knowledgeable Biologist and will give you some good starting points. There are some good bulls in there -

2025 sheds
Found this one in about 30-40 minutes of looking/glassing. I spent another 5-6 hours walking out the area and didn't find anything. I did glass 7 bulls higher up that I will try later in early May- Pagosa

History Found In the Field
Ive seen Ive seen similar areas south of Wilcox AZ. There was painted cracked pottery and cultural sites. I had a contract arch Monitor show me photos of these sites while we were installing exclusion barrier fencing. It must have a completely different climate then- Pagosa

That makes sense. I thought you were wanting to buy multiple properties and do a ag/hunting leaee. Taking of 10-50 acres is pretty straightforward, not like owning a section- Pagosa

Unless your going to be onsite to take of the property and pay a large amount down I wouldn't recommend it. Land maintenance is a full time job and no leasee is going to take care of your land. Bear hunting pressure in the sapphires/pintlers Montana
I haven't been in the area mentioned but we hunted last fall north of 90 and seen several tracks of grizzlies in Region 2. And I seen two sub adult grizzlies by Helmville off hwy 279 about 2 summers ago. So I couldn't imagine they wouldn't cross I 90 and move south. There are quite a few along...- Pagosa
