Air in LEM grind bags… am I screwed?
This is why is went to the tube-style bags out of a sausage stuffer for ground meat and sausage over the vac-seal bags. Too many air pockets with the vacuum sealer.- jt13

Rating an Outfitter
The problem with outfitter reviews is the clientele. Some are just happy to be there, some expect B&C animals behind every bush, some cant walk more than 50 yards without needing to stop and catch their breath, and so on.- jt13

Some good prices on Winchester waterfowl loads at Rogers, picked up a couple cases at $119-129 after discount/rebate. They've got a good price on an avian X a-frame too. Also picking up a Bogpod Death Grip from Cabelas/Bass Pro for $130 Nevermind, they're pretty much the same price on Amazon- jt13

Talk me out of a Knight Ultra Lite
I have an old Knight Disc .50 cal. I don't like the extra parts, pieces, and tools required but it's very reliable and the stainless barrel cleans up extremely easy compared to my CVA Accura MR. The CVA wins in simplicity and accuracy, but the Knight is higher quality fit and finish for sure.- jt13

The decision to not have knowingly positive CWD meat in my house is not about me, but for the other folks in my family that may eat it. Before the wife and kids, I didn't test anything but now anything from a potentially positive-CWD area gets tested.- jt13
