I get it nothing is as good as before. I'm not asking those questions. I have had one Hunt Talker reach out and help me out a little. And would be grateful for insight from others have tried hunting the public. Thanks everyone.
We went up weekend before memorial and a guy with a flatbed had a big older 5th wheel, a tandem axle flatbed trailer and all sorts of junk. He made it look like he owned the place. I am assuming this is the same guy. He had two dogs with him.
@Nameless Range if your first picture is where I think it is, little chunk of BLM in the nameless range, that is a great camping spot, other than all the rocks. Spent many nights there and around the area.
Looking to get some information from anybody that hunts public ground around the area. I have a few questions and would like some insight from someone who has been around for years past. I am not looking for a spot, but rather have a trip planned and would like to know a few small things before...
This is a property that is listed on Land Trust, so paying each day to hunt. The elk are apart of a local herd that meander through the surrounding subdivisions and mining properties.
Ive heard great things about both and seen quite a few photos of deer from 270. Does anybody have experience in 300? Any success photos or hunting photos where they passed deer up?
Thanks!
Its about that time to start picking up deer sheds and before we know it the elk will start dropping. Just thought I would start a thread to share your lucky finds this spring. Lets see them!
Hello all,
I have been scouting via Montana Cadastral and Google earth and was curious about the mule deer hunting along the Musselshell on the BLM grounds. I live on the western side of the state so it is quite hard to head out for a scouting trip so I thought I would ask on here, as I am sure...
I've already shot a bull during archery this year. Just looking for a 4x4 main frame buck, nothing huge, to top the freezer off. Just thought I would ask around before I make the trip north.
You guys have been helpful, and I appreciate all the responses.
