So I did not tag out I did run across a 2X3 scouting and the opening morning of the hunt he took a different route and got hammered by another hunter. New Mexico Unit 18
I hunted mule deer in 18 a few years ago. I did spot some bulls in a few spots I can pm if you like? It's going to be tough with limited access and all the hunters will be in the same spots as you but definitely seen some shooter bulls- sromer2715

New Mexico Unit 34 Elk Questions
Man what a killer tag! Place is crawling with elk. It will probably still be hot so higher elevations are where you will want to be. Id avoid east side of unit although it does hold some elk. It's hard to give a spot because I've seen elk everywhere there on my turkey and deer hunts- sromer2715

Awesome! I'm planning on hitting Patterson peak area. I heard south end of unit isn't particularly great. Btw don't want your spot just curious if north end is where you had the better luck of running into them?- sromer2715
