I recently bought a 257 Weatherby as a dedicated antelope gun and will be going to the range in the near future to break it in and find a good bullet. Im planning to buy a mark V accumark in 257 and want the 26 inch barrel for max velocity. I also want to suppress it. Anyone have experience with a 26 inch barrel and suppressor. I know it’ll be very long but it’ll only be on the prairie and never a super hard hike. -
Shotgun for Elk
I have a savage 20 gauge rifled barrel with a scope that is very accurate to easily 150 yards. I’d love to shoot an elk or a bear with it. I take it bear hunting at times as my shots are less than 100 yards and it’s fantastic for deer. Might have to check out the weapons restriction elk areas. -
