Wolf Activist Put $10K BOUNTY on WY Wolf Hunters

I’ll turn myself in for that $10,000 in a second if I luck into a northern Yellowstone wolf this fall.

    5.7x28

The original idea of the 5.7 was as a pistol sized cartridge to defeat soft body armor. Outside of that intended purpose I don’t really get the appeal over a good 9mm, especially for the price of ammo.

    $350 Scope Recommendations

That’s how I am with the SWFA, no matter how solid they are. If they made the 3-9 with shorter turrets and capped windage it would be hard to beat.

    $350 Scope Recommendations

I’d go with the Trijicon Huron, every Trijicon product I’ve used has been solid. My buddy recently got that Arken EPL-4 and really likes it as well, I’m looking forward to trying it.

    Football General Talk

Yes. 100% yes. Only person I’ve ever gotten an autograph from and I’m glad I have it.

    4” N Frame Holster Recommendations

They make a great holster too.

    Anyone else getting antsy?

I’m getting very antsy. General archery elk in September. Going to Wyoming with my dad for antelope and mule deer in October, then I have some fun plans for Montana sheep and general elk and deer in October and November. Might spend a few days looking for a bear in September too.

    New Bolt Action Rifle Recommendations

I’ve used my Sako 85 .300 win mag a lot and I’ve never had this issue, though I have heard of it. With larger turrets it could see it happening.

    4” N Frame Holster Recommendations

I have and really like the sourdough for my 629 4”.

Is your mall crawler ready to go?

Do it. I’ve been very happy with the RAS, but new leaf springs are the way to go for sure with a long travel suspension.

    BLM land swap with Mormons

They do a whole lot of it in this part of Wyoming.

    Elk bullet in Grizzly country

There sure are a lot of grizzlies killed with handguns every year in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Alaska that might not agree that handguns are worthless for bear defense. I’d also ask Phil Shoemaker if you don’t think a 9mm is perfectly suitable for the job, even on a big coastal brown bear...

    BHA on HQ

I generally avoid Helena at all costs, but when I’m there I always enjoy some burger, chicken, and a frosty beer there.

Is your mall crawler ready to go?

I’ve always kind of wanted to try these.

Is your mall crawler ready to go?

Could always go 265/75/16 which would probably open up the tire options quite a bit.

Is your mall crawler ready to go?

My current Falkens just rolled 50,000 miles, but they are in great shape and still have plenty of tread left and I hate to throw them out. I’m considering keeping them for summers and throwing on a set of these Yokohamas with studs for winter on a set of powder coated steelies for fairly cheap.

    Elk bullet in Grizzly country

Any rifle/bullet combination that will kill an elk will also kill a grizzly just fine. I do carry a pistol in addition to my rifle a lot more than I used to. I would always prefer to use my rifle, but it’s not always practical to have it in your hand, especially if you’re quartering or packing...

    Boys And Rattlesnake BBQ

When I was his age and running amok in eastern Montana with a Marlin .22 I attempted to cook rattlesnake, jackrabbit, and marmot over the fire. That’s what kids should be doing in the summer, I love it.

    22-250 favorite powder

I always used to use 4064, now I use Varget with 55 and 60 gr bullets. I’d still like to rebarrel to 1:7 some day and try some 88s with 4350.
