I can't believe they can't fill these positions!

I hire for natural resource positions but not wardens. I would 100% take a person with real life experience versus a college degree in many areas of natural resources/park management. Unfortunately the system we have built requires a college degree when a college degree is not necessary.

I can't believe they can't fill these positions!

Are they actually trying to fill the jobs or just saying they are vacant and have no intention to fill them? Being in the conservation field low paying jobs, weekends, holidays are the norm for several years after graduating. Colleges need to do a better job of preparing students for that...

    Do they tastes like chicken?

Boiled owl isn’t bad. Big difference between a barred owl and a screech owl. Them little elf owls down in the desert are a true delicacy. I’d rank it behind eagle, peregrine falcon and ivory billed woodpecker. Not in any particular order.

In Illinois? Did you call in a favor from an elected government official that you had incriminating evidence on? No? That’s why you didn’t pass.

    Asking for advise

Obviously access to the cabin would be an additional cost to the guests and you could recommend air services that you have used or know fly the area. But, How would you access it to clean and inspect after a guest leaves and before new ones arrive? If you have to have a bush flight after every...

    Remington 870 fell apart

My 870 with a slug barrel has been in use flawlessly for nearly 30 years without a hint of maintenance other than oiling and cleaning after the season. This is going to make me break everything down and tighten the nuts and bolts.

Matt Rinella knocking it outta the park

I do not disagree with the impact that hunting personalities including Mr. Newberg have had on hunting, drawing tags, access, etc. but IMO it says a ton about Mr Newberg that he allows this discussion on his platforms. Most, if not all shut down any comments and block the users that are...

I didn’t do a good job of photographing the deer this year. We processed 9 deer today. 5 does and these 4 bucks.

I’ve never done sous vide but I braise them for an hour to 2 depending on the size of the squirrel before I make squirrel hot wings.
