Once again id blame technology. When a guy can show up in the dark to a new area a fairly efficiently hunt it for the first time thanks to onx and sees all the corners. That was never a thing before so I’d bet more people stayed away from it when all they had was a paper map
I live on a cistern so I have to haul water to my house. I haul 900 gallons of water home a week for the house. Imagine my reaction to being told that pump was pushing 7500 gallons a minute

Tuesday - won’t draw
Wednesday- I’ll have marital issues
Thursday- won’t matter
Friday you’ll all be up to some other stuff again acting like hunting season isn’t coming
I’ve always found it kinda funny how little the difference a pack is for one night compared to 5 for the most part it’s just adding food. Putting a 5-6 pound raft in adds a lot do you guys divy up gear or all pack your own rafts?
