Qestion for the hunt research tools in Onx. When I put in my points for montana do the draw odds take into account how they square your bonus points. Example, if I have 5 bonus points they square the points so you actually have 25 chances in the drawing.
My food usually isn’t super heavy and I just use paracord to throw over a branch, no block and tackle. I then have one set I carry, I ended up footing the money for the wiser precision pynch pulley. I was trying to build my own and they did not work as planned.
That’s what I use for my backup. I like the filter for times when the water source is really dirty.

BeFree filter, interchanges with the hydrapak bags, have a 4l in pack if needed for camp and then typically use a 1l for filtering on the go. It’s quick and easy. Or if I am wanting really quick I just use potable aqua tabs.

Did you have a chance to use this setup out in the field? Was going to make this setup, ended up buying some #40 roller links and added bushing. Was easy to manipulate as it has pin you can remove but it is too wide and gets off center with weight.
I mounted mine right to dovetail. I am in the boat of less point of failure and lighten the rifle. Uknown Munitions has some good rings, you can get them in different heights if needed.
I ended up ordering a spring from Ernie the Gunsmith, this will allow me to keep the two locknots for adjustments. I will test out and see how I like, if it is not what I am looking for I will try the Mcarbo. Will keep you posted on how it feels.
Try protein powder that does not have whey. I didn’t use protein powder for years because it did the same thing to me. Then I found vegetarian protein powder and I have no problem, I use orgain from Costco.
I used this on my beartooth, when hauling meat I kept it in bottom gun bearer saddle and strapped top of riffle to pack, kept barrel lower so it didn’t snag on branches.
