Federal Premium 200gr Terminal Ascents 300WM - Can anyone give me a review?
They're what I use in my 300 WM. Killed 2 bulls with them so far. One heart shot at 90 yards, one high shoulder at 400 yards. Both one shot kills. Mine run just over 2900 fps out of my rifle, which is nearly 100 fps over box values.- Cornell Cowboy

Still Hunting Mule Deer in the Mountain West?
I think in general mule deer densities in most areas are too low to support that style of hunting. You need to cover too much ground and you can't do that at still hunting speed, but you can sitting behind glass. I'm a bit surprised. As the department head in one of the engineering departments at UW I can say that within our faculty, easily more than half hunt and within the students in the department I would guess it's higher than that (at least among the guys). 2025 Wyoming Moose
2-night camping trip with my 3 boys on Cliff Creek. Did a bit of hiking and some more driving around... mostly the boys were enamored with axe throwing. Saw quite a few deer and quite a bit of old moose sign, but no moose on this trip. The wildflowers were beautiful though!- Cornell Cowboy
